A beautiful morning in Phoenix and a good turnout as we
began the fall season with an 8:30 start time. The initial
calm conditions didn't last even through the first string
and the sun coming in from the south made sight pictures
a bit hazy. Still, through it all, Oliver Milanovic held
steady and pulled out the match win with a 590-22X.
Oliver has been making great progress since switching
from F-Class to sling shooting just a year ago and this win
was certainly just the first of many to come.
Scott Harris topped the F-Open category, getting more
accurate life out of his .243 barrel than anyone expected.
Scott and his sons Sean and Devon show what a real
family outing a rifle match can be, we're always happy to
have them. Chuck May resumed his frequent position at
the top of the F-TR list, shooting his .308 to a 575-9X that
was very good for the conditions that prevailed.
